Kyle Warr

Composer · Startup Founder · Family Man

Kyle Warr brings to the Foundation's board the steady patience of a long fairway, the practical sense of a startup founder, and the conviction — sharpened by family and by enterprise — that the best work happens over decades, not afternoons.

Kyle Warr is a Director of The Collectible Home Foundation. Family is the center of Kyle's life — and the lens through which he understands the Foundation's mission. The art and books we hold in trust today are, ultimately, gifts to children and grandchildren we will never meet.

Professionally, Kyle wears two hats. He is the composer and owner of Warr Studios, a Utah-based music house that scores film, documentaries, and commercials, and the founder of CardBox — a young company that brings the energy of Instagram and TikTok to the world of trading-card collecting. The premise is straightforward and overdue: collectors pour countless hours into the hobby they love, and they deserve a place to share, trade, and tell the stories behind their cards as easily as anyone shares a vacation photograph. Kyle is building it. Music and product, taken together, give him a useful pair of lenses for board work — what should an experience feel like, and what's the simplest version of giving it to people?

His longest project, though, is family. Kyle and his wife Christiana met across an ocean — he in Utah, she in Hawaii — and dated long-distance until the distance lost. Christiana is currently expecting their second child together, Kyle's fourth, with two daughters from a prior marriage who are growing up to be both formidable on the golf course and (more importantly to him) genuinely kind, capable people.

When he isn't with family or with the company, Kyle is most often on the golf course — a pursuit that, like preservation, rewards patience, careful observation, and the long game over the quick win. He brings that disposition to the Foundation's strategic thinking and its board deliberations, and he helps the board weigh the long-term implications of acceptance and placement decisions.

Patience on the green, patience with family, patience with history. None of the things that matter happen in a hurry.
