A 501(c)(3) Public Charity

Preserving history,
one item at a time.

The Collectible Home Foundation conserves and stewards rare and historically significant works of art, books, and documents — and places them where they can teach: in museums, libraries, and the educational institutions of tomorrow.

Our Work

A bridge between private collectors and the public good.

We accept donations of culturally significant objects, conserve them with care, and place them where they can be studied and enjoyed for generations.

i.

Conserve

Rare works of art, books, manuscripts, and historical artifacts are documented, conserved, and held in trust by the Foundation.

ii.

Place

Pieces are granted or loaned to qualifying 501(c)(3) museums, libraries, universities, and historical societies for permanent stewardship.

iii.

Educate

Through workshops in bookbinding, paper repair, and artifact preservation, we extend access to history into our wider community.

iv.

Steward

Annual reports from receiving institutions ensure each donated piece continues to fulfill its educational purpose long into the future.

Art, books, and artifacts carry the fingerprints of humanity. Preserving them is an act of gratitude to the past and responsibility to the future.

Our Impact

Stewardship, by the numbers.
