Aya Moore
Aya Moore brings to the Foundation's board the rare combination of a publicly recognized voice, a quietly technical mind, and the kind of organizing instinct that turns ideas into events that actually happen.
Aya Moore is a Director of The Collectible Home Foundation and the wife of fellow Director Caleb Moore. Together they share a love of motorcycles, of friends gathered around a fire as autumn turns to winter, and of the small things that make a community feel like home.
Aya is one of the most recognized faces in the American motorcycle community — a model who has come to define a particular look in the space, walking the line between modesty and modeling that few others in the field walk. Half Dutch, half Japanese, and Utah-based, she has worked with close to a dozen motorcycle brands and is most often seen on her Ducati Monster — a bike she and Caleb built together while they were dating, and that, in family lore, helped lead to a wedding.
What casual followers may not know is that, away from the cameras and the throttle, Aya leads a team of software engineers at her day job — a coder's mind sitting quietly behind one of the most photographed riders in the Mountain West. The Foundation has been quick to take advantage of that combination: Aya brings the same precision to digital cataloguing and donor systems that she brings to a production sprint.
She also co-runs Curry 'n Ride, Utah's largest annual motorcycle gathering, with Caleb. The ride takes place on the last Saturday before the first snow — most years the opening weekend of November — and has become a fixture in the regional motorcycle calendar. Behind the scenes, Aya is the one keeping the route, the registration, the post-ride dinner, and a hundred other small details from coming undone.
Her Foundation work brings that same steady, organizing instinct: making sure educational programs reach families, that workshops actually open their doors, and that the Foundation's commitments to its donors and its institutions are kept faithfully.
The best rides — and the best collections — are the ones that bring people together.
